(November 6, 2024) — On October 21, 2024, four members of Haddam Volunteer Fire Company spoke to Haddam Club 60 about the history of and changes in volunteer firefighting operations over the years. Club 60 is comprised of seniors, ages 60 and older, from Greater Middlesex County.
During the talk, HVFC members shared personal stories, answered questions from the audience, showed how personal protective equipment has changed over time, and offered truck tours of Haddam’s original 1929 pumper-engine and the modern-day Engine 6-13.
