(May 30, 2024) — Members of Haddam Volunteer Fire Company and the HVFC Auxiliary marched in the Town of Haddam’s annual Memorial Day Parade on May 27, 2024.
Firefighter Rick Annino, who has served on the Memorial Day Parade Committee for forty years, delivered the program’s address and Firefighter and Company Chaplain David Carey delivered the program’s benediction.
HVFC currently has six veteran servicemen on our roster, including Annino, Captain Joshua Meyer, Firefighter and Fire Police Chief Malcolm Meyer, Firefighter Bob Kadrle, Firefighter Ron Annino and Firefighter Scott Kuchyt.
Firefighter Zachary Ouellette is currently serving with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Since last Memorial Day, twenty-seven war veterans from Haddam have passed away including HVFC Life Members Whitney Brookes, Claude Hendricksen, Ed Valenti and Gerry Violette.
We thank and honor all who have served and made the ultimate sacrifice.
