(October 30, 2023) — All members of Haddam Volunteer Fire Company are required to take part in a live burn exercise annually to maintain interior-firefighter status. On October 28, 2023, HVFC participated in a fire behavior demonstration and live burn at Guilford Fire Department‘s training facility.
In smoked-out conditions, crews worked in small teams to advance a hose line and extinguish a fire inside the building.
