Tanya Bottaro is no stranger to supporting our community. During the original COVID-19 lockdown, Tanya and her family made and distributed hearts around the community to thank front-line workers and their families. They sponsor the HKYFS Pumpkin Run. And, according to Tanya, “We are always looking for things we can do to help support the communities that we live and work in.”
The Huscher Realty Group at William Raveis Real Estate in Middletown has four realtors on their team. Each realtor is purchasing Girl Scout cookies and donating them to the food bank in their own community: Durham, Middlefield, Middletown, and here in Haddam/Higganum & Killingworth. Tanya will purchase two boxes of cookies from each Girl Scout in Haddam, Higganum and Killingworth, and donate them so that they can be distributed to those in need in our community. In Haddam, that will be the Haddam Food Bank. In Killingworth, that will be the Haddam Food Bank or the HK Backpack program.
“It’s all by social media and email,” explained Tanya. “I would definitely help them deliver to the food pantry if needed/wanted.” If your Girl Scout would like to take part in this, she just needs to email the link to Tanya.Bottaro@raveis.com so that she can purchase the cookies. The girls can deliver them directly to the Food Bank at 11 Jail Hill Road, Haddam, or the HK Backpack program.
“This is our first time doing this,” said Tanya, “but we look forward to the possibility of making it an annual event. We are so grateful to our Real Estate clients in these communities and are always looking for ways to give back, support local, and help in our communities and beyond.”
