You may remember that the Huscher Realty Group at William Raveis Real Estate in Middletown wanted to buy cookies as a way to give back. The four members of the Huscher Realty Group asked Girls Scouts in their hometowns to email them and the realtors would purchase two boxes of cookies from each of the Scouts.
Scouts in Haddam, Killingworth, Durham, Middlefield, and Middletown all participated in the Girl Scout Cookie Community Give Back.
Tanya Bottaro pledged to purchase the cookies from Scouts in her community of Haddam, Higganum, and Killingworth.
“We purchased cookies from 96 girls total, and 192 boxes of cookies were donated to the local food pantries in their respective areas,” said Tanya Bottaro.
This was the first year of the program, and it was done via social media.
“We are hopeful that this could become an annual event for our Team to partner with the local Girl Scouts & Brownies in the area during their cookie-selling season!” finished Tanya.
