(October 14, 2023) — Parmelee Farm in Killingworth will offer the following programs and events in December 2023:

Historical Society –  Mark your calendars! Saturday, December 2, 2023 is the Historical Society’s Christmas Fair. Come shop with us from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the KHS Barn at Parmelee Farm, 465 Route 81, Killingworth. The Fair features many unique items, including fresh and artificial arrangements, gift baskets, ornaments, jams, relish, breads and cookies. Our members make beautiful hand-knitted items, including Islandic sweaters, hats and mittens. There’s sure to be something for everyone on your gift list and decorations to make your holiday festive. The drawing for our beautiful handmade holiday quilt will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the fair. Don’t forget to buy your tickets!

Christmas at The Farm/Tree Lighting Ceremony –  The same day as the Historical Society Christmas Fair, Saturday, December 2, 2023, the Parmelee Farm Committee is reviving Christmas at the Farm.  Along with the annual tree lighting and carolers, Santa is returning for photo ops!  Santa’s Mailbox will also be available thanks to the KWO and, if all goes well, horse and carriage rides too.  This is a free event hosted by the Parmelee Farm Committee and community volunteers.  There will be baked goods for sale and a free hot chocolate station, as well as a free kids craft activity.  Hours are 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., carriage rides from 2:00  p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with the tree lighting at 5:00 p.m. complete with carolers.  Hope to see you there!

Lost & Found  –  A small wire basket has been installed at the Kiosk for any small items found on the farm property and trails. Items of high value such as jewelry or car keys should be brought to Town Hall for safe keeping until owner reclaims.

Dogs at the Farm – Must be on leash at all times for the safety of all, and please pick up after your dog. Dog waste stations available in several locations.
