Haddam Killingworth Youth & Family Services and Resident State Troopers participated in “Stuff a Cruiser” on Saturday, November 23, 2019 on the Higganum Green. “The turnout was great and we collected a ton of toys and monetary donations which will go directly to families in need in Haddam and Killingworth,” said Trooper DeAngelo.
“It was a great day, a great turnout, and a wonderful group of young people who were energetic,” said Laurie Ruderfer, Executive Director of HK Youth & Family Services. “We even managed to raise a nice little sum of money for the Salvation Army at the same time, knowing that 90% of what is donated will come back to the local community to support families with resource support.”
For anyone who was not able to make it on Saturday, if you still want to make a donation, HK Youth & Family Services is accepting donations through December at their office at 91 Little City Road, Higganum.
“The generosity of those who made donations is very much appreciated by all,” said Trooper DeAngelo.
