HKHS Girls Lacrosse to Host Two Fundraisers

Submitted by Janice CalviRuimerman

(April 15, 2024) — The Haddam-Killingworth High School Girls Lacrosse team will host a fundraiser to raise money and awareness to help end child abuse.

The team’s game at home against Mercy High School on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. will be dedicated to this cause. The funds raised at the game -people can anonymously donate in the box at the entrance near concessions – will go to the Connecticut Children’s Alliance (CCA), a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing and ending child abuse.

HKHS girls will be wearing blue ribbons, and we will blue out the stands and have blue ribbons for attendees.  There will also be blue Ribbons for the Mercy girls.

See the story below from the Chicago Tribune for further details:

In addition, the team will host bake sales at two locations on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to raise funds for the end-of-season banquet. Locations are outside the former Citizens Bank building in Higganum, and at the Killingworth Transfer Station.
