(November 23, 2022)—Valley Regional/Lyme-Old Lyme defeated Haddam-Killingworth 28, to 8 in a game played on November 22, 2022.
DiAngelo Jean-Pierre scored three touchdowns and Joseph Montazella recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for another score as the Warriors (9-1) defeated the Cougars (6-4) in the annual Principal’s Cup game in Higganum. Tate Callender caught an Alex Phipps pass for the Cougars’ touchdown.
“Obviously, we’re disappointed with the result,” said HK Head Coach Tyler Wilcox. “We made three or four critical errors that basically cost us the game. But I’m proud of the seniors who played their last game tonight. They’re a good group of kids and they’re good football players. We’re going to miss them.”
