(June 5, 2023) — Callen Powers struck out thirteen, going the distance, to get Haddam-Killingworth High School a quarterfinal win, 6-3 over Lyme-Old Lyme, in the state tournament on June 3, 2023. Liam Gordon, Dylan Coon and Jackson Pray led the offense with two hits each. Ryan Erskine drove in two runs, while Pray drove in three for the Cougars. Gordon had a run-scoring single in HK’s five-run first inning. Owen Snurkowski and Rowen Meisner each had a double for Lyme-Old
Lyme.
