According to the June 18, 2019 Middletown Press, Tyler Sullivan, 27, of  Higganum, was arrested on Monday in Middletown, and “held on $50,000 bond following his arraignment on Monday on charges he stole instruments from a musician’s unlocked vehicle as the victim was packing up from a gig at a Saybrook Road restaurant.” According to the report, “the victim was moving his band equipment from the restaurant to his car when he encountered Sullivan, who appeared to be intoxicated on drugs or alcohol.” Later, “Sullivan voluntarily retrieved the duffel bag” from his car “for the officer who found that it was filled with the items stolen from the musician. . . . Police searched the car and found various items including multiple credit cards and identifications, cell phones and equipment that are believed to have been taken during car break-ins throughout Middlesex County, police said.”

According to trooper, Sullivan is a suspect that they are investigating in association with area overnight car burglaries and the burglary of New Image Automotive and will be seeking arrest warrants for those incidents.
