(November 24, 2024) — This holiday season, the Haddam Historical Society will host Toys from the Attic, an exhibit of antique and vintage toys at the historic Thankful Arnold House Museum, 14 Hayden Hill Road in Haddam. Visitors will enjoy a step back in time and delight in toys and games children played with from the 18th century through the late 20th century.
Toys came in many forms including musical, educational, puzzles, transportation or gender related. Stop by the museum and see how children have been entertaining themselves for more than 200 years.
The Society gift shop will be packed with a variety of goodies, including themed gifts to capture the spirit of the holidays, such as old-fashioned candy, Colonial-period toys, local handcrafted goods, kissing balls, holiday cards with scenes of area landmarks, and so much more.
Admission is free; the museum will be open to the public on:
- Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
