Haddam Woman Arrested on Animal Cruelty Charges

(September 11, 2024) — On September 6, 2024, at approximately 4:01 p.m., Troopers assigned to Troop F in Westbrook responded to a residence in Haddam to serve an active arrest warrant for Jacqueline Witt, DOB 09/24/1959.

Upon arrival, Troopers made contact with Witt and advised her of the active warrant for her arrest. Witt was taken into State Police custody and transported to Troop F where she was processed and charged with the following violations:

 C.G.S. 53-247(a), Cruelty to Animals (4 counts)

C.G.S. 53a-155, Tampering with Physical Evidence (1 count)

Following arrest processing, Witt was released on a $50,000 cash/surety bond and is scheduled for arraignment at Middletown Superior Court on September 19, 2024.
