September 2020– Haddam Senior & Social Services – Monthly Report

*please note Social Services report includes totals for Municipal Agent.

Senior & Social Services:

The following programs have serviced the community:

Haddam Emergency Food Bank has serviced a total of 62 Adults & 28 Children, in addition to food, Haddam Emergency Food Bank has serviced 5 families with gifts cards to local restaurants and grocery stores in town.

Haddam Emergency Fuel Bank has serviced a total of 1 family for electric assistance.

Haddam Senior & Social Services has serviced 5 individuals with paperwork assistance.

Haddam Social Services/ Clothing Bank has serviced 3 families with clothing and 2 families with school supplies.

Haddam Social Services has done 1 wellness checks for September of 2020.

Haddam Social Services has assigned 2 Farmers Market Coupon Booklets out to seniors for September 2020.

Haddam Social Services has processed 5 Renters Rebate Applications for September 2020.

Senior Van:

The Senior Van has serviced a total of 8 medical appointments for the month of September 2020 and 3 seniors who have attended the weekly shopping trip for September.

Haddam Senior Center:

As of 3/16/2020 all CRT meals have been a grab and go or frozen meal due to COVID-19. Meals are distributed on Mondays for the week and are available for pick up Mondays at noon.

The Haddam Senior Center has distributed 113 CRT meals for the month of August 2020 and a total of 89 visitors for August 2020.

The Food Bank is in need of shelf-stable milk, personal hygiene goods, and Thanksgiving staples, such as gravy, pie mix, stuffing, and instant potatoes.
Currently, our biggest need is funding for emergency fuel. We are finding many families are still struggling due to COVID-19.
Hours: Monday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. by appointment
Tuesday & Thursday- Food Bank hours 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. / Office hours by appointment 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Wednesday – CLOSED
Friday- by appointment only 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
