(May 23, 2022)—The contract for the Haddam Center Sidewalks project has been awarded and the work has been authorized to proceed. This project is a complete removal and replacement of the sidewalks on the east side of Route 154 from the Jail to the Cemetery. The contractor is Costa and Sons of Windsor, Connecticut.
The contract permits work from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. “Call Before You Dig” (CBYD) notification was marked out on May 20, 2022. Initial work will involve clearing trees outside the Route 154 Right-of-Way (ROW). Sidewalk work will start as soon as the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) issues the final Encroachment Permit, which typically takes two to four weeks.
