Haddam Senior & Social Services: April 2020 Report

Senior & Social Services:

The following programs have serviced the community:

Haddam Emergency Food Bank has serviced a total of 44 Adults & 20 Children. In addition to food, Haddam Emergency Food Banks has serviced 63 families with gifts cards to local restaurants and grocery stores in town. A total of 127 families and individuals are receiving help from Haddam Emergency Food Bank.

Haddam Emergency Fuel Bank has serviced a total of 6 families – for Electric assistance.

Haddam Senior & Social Services has serviced 4 individuals with paperwork assistance.

Haddam Social Services/ Clothing Bank has serviced 2 families with blankets this month.

Haddam Social Services has done 1 wellness check for April of 2020.

COVID-19: United Way has given Haddam 6 families financial assistance through the COVID-19 Response Fund for April of 2020 that has been selected and processed through Haddam Social Services.

Senior Van:

The Senior Van has serviced a total of 8 medical appointments for the month of April 2020.

Haddam Senior Center:

As of 3/16/2020 all CRT meals have been a grab and go or frozen meal due to COVID-19. Meals are distributed on Mondays for the week and are available for pick up Mondays at noon.

The Haddam Senior Center has distributed 149 CRT meals for the month of April 2020.
