(May 5, 2023) — The following programs serviced the community during the month of April, 2023. Please note, the Social Services report includes totals for the Municipal Agent.
Senior and Social Services: Haddam Emergency Food Bank serviced a total of sixty-two adults & ten children; in addition to food, Haddam Emergency Food Bank serviced two families with gift cards to local restaurants and/ or grocery stores in town.
Haddam Emergency Fuel Bank serviced a total of five families for fuel assistance. 2- Oil, 3- Electricity, 0- Pellets, 0- Propane.
Haddam Senior & Social Services serviced five individuals with paperwork assistance.
Haddam Social Services/Clothing Bank serviced forty people with clothing.
Haddam Social Services did no wellness checks during April 2023.
Senior Van: The Senior Van serviced a total of twenty-two medical appointments for the month of April 2023 and an average of five seniors who attend the weekly shopping trip for April 2023.
Haddam Senior Center: Open twelve days for the month of April.
The Haddam Senior Center distributed eighty-six meals for the month of April 2023 and welcomed one hundred eighty-seven visitors to the Senior Center.
Little Food Pantry: The little food pantry shown above is our newest addition to the Haddam Food Pantry located at 11 Jail Hill Road. The motto is, “take what you need and donate what you can.” John Byrne of Killingworth donated his time and materials to make this happen.
