There will be a Setback Tournament held at the Haddam Firehouse Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018 starting at 6:30 p.m. sponsored by the Haddam Lions Club. In the past, there have been anywhere from four couples to as many as 15 couples. It’s a very casual and fun evening. The Lions will continue to sponsor the event as long as folks are interested. Snacks will be provided, though feel free to bring your own, as well as BYOB. Bring a partner; though if you can’t find a partner, you’re still welcome to come and the Lion’s Club will do their best to place you with a partner.
Tickets are $10 and are available at the door and depending on how many players there are there is a pot of money that will be split between the winner and the Haddam Lions Club. The Haddam Lions Club is a non-profit organization that donates to local charities. Other events the Lions sponsor are: Rollin’ On The River Car Show, Duck Race, Hypnotist Comedy Night, selling Christmas trees, participate in Relay for Life, food vendor for Haddam Elementary School harvest fair, Holiday food baskets to those in need, eye drive and more.
