On Saturday, Nov. 22, 2020, members of the Haddam Land Trust Board of Directors, as well as relatives of Nancy L. Planeta, held a dedication ceremony. The dedication was a chance to install a preserve sign, as well as introduce their “newest preserve, honor the generosity of the donors, and reflect on the realization of Ms. Planeta’s wish to have her land conserved,” said the notice to the public about the dedication.

The preserve of 19 acres is located on High Street.

“The Haddam Land Trust Board of Directors will evaluate the proposed donation by assessing the location, acreage, ecological, geological, and historical features, adjacent properties, and a site walk (with the permission of the owner),” explained HLT member Gail Reynolds.
