Haddam & Killingworth Students Graduate & Earn Honors From Various Colleges Across the Country in 2019

WATERVILLE, ME (06/26/2019)– Annelise E. Walsh of Killingworth was recently named to the highly selective Dean’s List at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2018-19 academic year. Walsh is one of 443 Colby students-or 23 percent of the qualified student body-to have earned a spot on the Dean’s List last semester.

Walsh, a member of the Class of 2020, attended Haddam Killingworth High School and is the daughter of Sean and Diane Walsh of Killingworth, Conn. Walsh earned a semester grade point average of 3.78 or higher this spring to be included on Colby’s Dean’s List.

WILLIMANTIC, CT (06/24/2019)– Eastern Connecticut State University’s economics department held its annual Omicron Delta Epsilon International Honor Society for Economics induction on April 17.

Among the inductees were:

Elizabeth Forsythe ’20 of Killingworth, who majors in Accounting.

Omicron Delta Epsilon is one of the world’s largest academic honor societies. It was established in 1963 through the merger of two honor societies, Omicron Delta Gamma and Omicron Chi Epsilon. The objectives of Omicron Delta Epsilon is to recognize outstanding scholastic achievements in economics. Today, Omicron Delta Epsilon has more than 696 chapters around the world. To qualify for Omicron Delta Epsilon, students must have at least a 3.25 GPA in economic courses and an overall GPA of 3.25

EAST HARTFORD, CT (06/24/2019)– The following students earned a place on Goodwin College’s President’s List for the Spring 2019 Session. The Spring 2019 President’s List includes 353 students, all of whom scored a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Students named to the Dean’s List at the University of New Hampshire are students who have earned recognition through their superior scholastic performance during a semester enrolled in a full-time course load (12 or more graded credits). Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors.
