(January 6, 2023) — The Haddam Historical Society has been awarded an $8100 Connecticut Cultural Fund Operating Support Grant from CT Humanities (CTH). The Cultural Fund Operating Support Grants assist organizations as they recover from the pandemic and maintain and grow their ability to serve their community and the public.

The grant money will be used to support our organization by:

Growing and maintaining our ability to serve the Haddam community and general public.

Improving and upgrading our website, information technology and digital infrastructure.

Creating additional family and child-friendly programs and activities.

Diversifying our audience by upgrading tours and program offerings.

Executive Director Elizabeth Malloy noted that the grant will “help us craft a compelling experience for both the online and in-person visitor that is relevant, educational and entertaining.”

Totaling more than $8.5 million, these grants are part of a two-year, $30.7 million investment in the arts, humanities and cultural nonprofits by the Connecticut General Assembly and approved by Governor Ned Lamont.
