(November 19, 2024) — On November 24, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Girl Scouts will be at Higganum Village Market collecting food for their Annual Thanksgiving Drive.
People can drop off food, or make monetary donations that will be used to purchase food at the end of the drive, or purchase items at Higganum Village Market using a list that the scouts will provide. Below is a list of food items they are hoping to collect:
· Turkey (10-12 pounds)
· Stuffing
· Potatoes
· Sweet Potatoes (Fresh or Canned)
· Canned or Fresh Vegetables (Green Beans, Carrots, Corn)
· Cranberry Sauce
· Cream of Mushroom Soup
· French Fried Onions
· Gravy
· Butter
· Chicken Broth
· Cookie Mix or Brownie Mix
· Pie Crust
· Pumpkin Pie Filling
· Crescent Rolls/Rolls
· Hot Chocolate or Tea
