The Haddam-Killingworth High School girls soccer team traveled to take on conference rivals, Valley Regional High School on Monday, Sept. 23, 2019.  HK’s Autumn Walton found the back of the net first giving HK an early lead, only to find VR come back a minute later to tie.  With 18:24 left, Valley secured a penalty kick by Ava Duval.  The second half was full of action as Yumi Imai found a familiar spot on goal to tie the game for HK 2-2.  Both keepers kept busy.  HK’s Kesley Lonergan made 11 saves in total and Valley’s Lexi DellaRocco made 16.  Ava Duval scored again to give Valley their final time leading the game with 12:44 left.  With 6:01 left in the game HK’s Kedarjah Lewis scored making it 3-3.  With a huge shift in momentum, HK kept the pressure on. Autumn Walton put the winning goal in the net and her second of the game at 4:16 mark.  Kaitlyn Parri (1:58) and Hadely Commerford (0:07) put the final touches on the game for HK.  HK beat Valley by a final of 6-3.

Current Records for both schools: HK 3-2-0 and Valley 4-2-0.
Haddam-Killingworth takes on Cochinchaug this Wednesday at home. HK will seek revenge against a previous scoreless game earlier this season when they played at Cochinchaug.
