The Haddam Killingworth High School Varsity Football team was defeated by North Branford on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019 with a final score of H-K 6, North Branford 19. Following a scoreless first half, Brandon Fratta threw touchdown passes of 23 and 75 yards to Nate Raymond to lead North Branford over H-K on Saturday. Cam Afanador added a 19-yard touchdown run for the Thunderbirds. Alex Riccitelli threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Matteo Piacenti for H-K’s only score.
The Cougars’ Dalton Modehn led all rushers with 111 yards on 10 carries. Riccitelli was 15 of 39 overall, for 185 total passing yards and the one TD to Piacenti, who had six catches for 100 total yards. PJ Bosco added 57 yards rushing on 13 carries.
