Football 2019: HKHS Defeated by Granby Memorial/Canton

#68 Trey Callender turns upfield for a nice gain after intercepting a Bears pass

The Haddam Killingworth High School Varsity Football team was defeated by Granby Memorial/Canton in Higganum on Friday, Oct. 11, 2019 with a final score of Granby/Canton 27, H-K 7. Quarterback Jackson Rome accounted for three of the Bears’ four touchdowns as the co-op consisting of Granby Memorial and Canton (4-1) defeated Haddam-Killingworth (0-5) in Higganum on Friday (10/11). Rome threw touchdown passes of 83 yards and 14 yards, respectively, to Marquis Thomas and Samuel Attianese, and ran for another seven-yard score. Attianese also scored on a 51-yard run. H-K’s sole touchdown came on a two-yard run by James Bobbi. Matteo Piancenti and Trey Callender each had an interception for the Cougars.
