Find a Fur Baby: Bishop

Submitted by Judith Levin.

Bishop is wondering where his family is … he’s such a good boy 🙂

Furry Friends is looking for a foster or forever home for Bishop. They would also consider a foster-to-adopt option.

  • Male Pit bull type dog
  • About 1 year old
  • House trained
  • Crate trained
  • Walks well on a leash
  • Knows some of his basic commands
  • Fine with other dogs of similar size – prefers fairly calm dogs
  • Unknown with cats
  • Fine with respectful older children (13 years old or older)

Bishop was an owner surrender — he had been rescued from a bad situation by a Good Samaritan who loved him a lot but could not keep him because of her personal family situation. Bishop can be a bit shy at first when meeting new people but with gentleness and kindness (and the help of a few treats) he warms up quickly. He would love a home where someone is home at least part of the day – someone who works from home or a stay-at-home parent – or a retired person or couple – would be ideal for him. He could live happily with another fairly calm dog of similar size, but would be happy also as your one and only. Bishop needs a family to take him out and about and continue to introduce him to new people, places and things.

Furry Friends would also consider a foster-to-adopt option for Bishop. To foster please fill out the form at our website – https://www.furryfriendsct.org/foster-application
