HARTFORD, Conn. and BOSTON, Mass. (December 12, 2019) – To help honor the sacrifices made by veterans and their families, Eversource will participate in Wreaths Across America ceremonies this Saturday at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown, and the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. In addition to the energy company’s $120,000 contribution to support local ceremonies, Eversource employees will join hundreds of volunteers to help lay wreaths at the graves of veterans.
“Wreaths Across America is nationally recognized for their unyielding commitment to honoring our fallen heroes, veterans and their families,” said Eversource Control Room Supervisor and President of the ES Veterans Association Bill Gelinas. “We are committed to giving back to the communities where we work and live, and especially to our brothers and sisters who served in the military. Wreaths Across America is a moving experience for all who attend, and we look forward to supporting these touching events every year.”Wreaths Across America was founded by Morrill Worcester, owner of Worcester Wreath Company, of Harrington, Maine. Their mission is to remember fallen U.S. veterans, honor those who serve, and teach future generations the value of freedom through their annual wreath laying ceremonies which take place at more than 1,600 locations across all 50 U.S. states.

Wreaths Across America ceremonies will take place in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Connecticut.
