(May 11, 2023) — Please be advised that Eversource and its contractors will be utilizing the services of a helicopter to pull and attach an optical ground wire (OPGW) across several miles of structures in Haddam/Higganum. Details are below.
Purpose of Flyover: Installation of OPGW for the 1620 Transmission line
Date: Beginning May 15, 2023
Description of Aircraft: MD 500 Helicopter, Green and White with a gold stripe
Takeoff/Landing: There are designated (property owner-approved) landing zones for the staging of the helicopter which will be 412 Candlewood Hill Road, Ranger Road, 95 Plains Road.
Flight Times: Flights are scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday thru Saturday (subject to weather conditions)
