Essex Savings Bank Names Carolyn Welch Vice President, Senior Business Banking Officer

(June 9, 2023) — Essex Savings Bank is pleased to announce the addition of Carolyn Welch as Vice President, Senior Business Banking Officer. “We are pleased that Ms. Welch has joined our expanding business. With more than forty years of experience in banking, including more than two decades in Commercial Lending, her experience will be an asset for both us and our customers,” stated Diane H. Arnold, President & CEO of Essex Savings Bank.

Prior to joining Essex Savings Bank, Ms. Welch worked in numerous roles and institutions, including Chelsea Groton Bank as both Senior Vice President, Director of Commercial Growth & Development as well as Senior Vice President, Director of Commercial Lending, and Citizens Bank as Senior Vice President, Market Manager-Business Banking Relationship Manager Channel. Ms. Welch also has an extensive SBA background as she worked at Community
Investment Corp. (CIC) as a Vice President, Commercial Lender.

Ms. Welch is very active in the community and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the New Haven Chamber of Commerce, is Vice Chairman for the Community Economic
Development Fund, (CEDF) Corporation Board and is a member of their Joint Executive Committee. Ms. Welch is also the Treasurer for the Community Investment Development Corp. (CIDC) Board, as well.

Ms. Welch attended Niagara University where she later served on the Advisory Council to the President. Prior to attending Niagara University, Ms. Welch obtained an AAS from Niagara County Community College (NCCC).
Ms. Welch and her husband reside in Wallingford.

Ms. Welch will be working under the leadership of Mr. Glenn Campbell, Senior Vice President, Chief Lending Officer.
