Essex Savings Bank Announces Officer Promotions

(September 15, 2023) — Diane H. Arnold, President & CEO of Essex Savings Bank, is pleased to announce the
promotion of Hilary Mondelci to Vice President, Loan Administration Manager and Assistant Corporate
Secretary and Rebekah Barrett to Assistant Vice President, Controller & Assistant Treasurer.  “It gives me great pleasure to promote these two very accomplished women,” said Arnold. “I look forward to their continued contributions and growth within the Bank in the years to come.”

Hilary Mondelci was promoted to Vice President, Loan Administration Manager and Assistant Corporate Secretary from Assistant Vice President, Loan Administration Manager and Assistant Corporate Secretary.

Ms. Mondelci (above photo), joined Essex Savings Bank in June 2011 as a Teller. Shortly thereafter, she joined the Bank’s Loan Administration Department and rose steadily through the ranks within the division.

Due to her outstanding leadership during the pandemic, Ms. Mondelci received the Connecticut Bankers Association’s New Leader in Banking Award in January of this year. She is a recent graduate of Post University, where she earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. She is
also a past graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance and Management. Currently, Ms. Mondelci resides with her family in Chester.

Rebekah Barrett was promoted to Assistant Vice President, Controller and Assistant Treasurer from Accounting Supervisor and Assistant Treasurer. Ms. Barrett joined Essex Savings Bank in December 2012 as a Teller. She later transferred to the Corporate Office where she aided Deposit Operations and Accounting jointly before transitioning fully to the Accounting Department.

Ms. Barrett (photo above), is a graduate of Quinnipiac University, where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting. More recently, she graduated from the Connecticut School of Finance and Management, where she was recognized as
a Michael J. Piette honors recipient. Ms. Barrett resides in Guilford with her family.
