33rd District Republican State Senate candidate Brandon Goff is an East Hampton native who graduated from East Hampton High School in 2014. At 17, he joined the Navy and did 5 years active duty on the Submarine USS Maine in Washington State. Moved back to East Hampton in 2019 to work for Northrop Grumman as an electronics technician and married his high school sweetheart this past May.
Brandon continues to serve the Navy as a reservist and the community as an East Hampton Town Councilman. And by being on East Hampton’s Town Council, he sees firsthand the lack of state leadership representation there is unless it’s election time. Connecticut has been a long-time Democrat-run state and they recently have been making claims that taxes have been lowered, they are standing up to energy rates and crime has decreased. None of which is true. Brandon will work to combat all of these by first lowering the 50 cent per gallon diesel tax, and removing the new meal tax and highway tax. All of which will help everyone get ready to survive the winter and bring costs of food down. Electric rates have increased 72% since July of last year.
Brandon intends to stop letting PURA control the rates and intends to rebuild our current energy infrastructures to help reduce costs. Crime or more specifically rape and murder has increased and our Governor has received a 97% no confidence vote by the State Police. Brandon will make sure Police are allowed to do their jobs and make sure just laws are enforced in court. Brandon is endorsed by the Fraternal Order of Police and a Pro 2A CCDL candidate who is pro parental rights, pro women’s rights and choice and is running to make Connecticut safe and affordable.
