The Haddam Elections Department, led by registrars Ray Skarsten and Saralyn Twomey would like to thank the poll workers who put in long hours, complied with all pertinent regulations and delivered the results to the Connecticut Secretary of State before the midnight deadline. The latest electronic Election Management System software was used for official reporting of detailed results. The Registrars and the Moderators would like to thank the voters who turned out for this important election. As Head Moderator, Tony Giamei noted that workers and voters were enthusiastic, despite the normal issues about unaffiliated voters not being able to vote in primaries. Remember that, under current law, unaffiliated voters can change to a major party up until noon the day before a primary. (They can change back later, if they so choose.)
