(Middletown, CT.) Chairwoman Maureen Westbrook and Event Chairman Al Santostefano of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce invites the community to join the Dashing Through Downtown Holiday Vehicle Parade and the Magic of Middletown Pub Crawl that are both held on Saturday, December 18th.
These two events will surely spread some holiday magic! The Parade offers family fun for all and the Pub Crawl will provide some “adult fun” for elf’s that are 21 and older. There’s something for everyone this holiday season!
All participating vehicles for the parade will register and lineup at Middletown High School and will dash-off at 6:30 p.m. and will cruise through downtown Middletown, led by Santa, to view fabulous decorations on display.
This year, you can also enjoy a little friendly competition for the most festive vehicles! Mayor Ben Florsheim, Jingles the Gnome, and Santa will select their favorite vehicles in the parade.
Registration will be from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. with a donation of an unwrapped toy and a $5 fee per vehicle.
You can also catch the parade as it travels down Main Street! Set up behind your car and get ready to enjoy the beautiful parade light display.
If you’re looking for some holiday adult fun, join us on our double-decker bus for our first ever Magic of Middletown Pub Crawl. The bus will be participating in our holiday parade and then will be making 4 stops to local Chamber member’s bars and restaurants. Stops include: Eli Cannon’s Tap Room, Stella D’Oro Restaurant, Juicy Cajun Seafood, and Sicily Coal Fired Pizza. Special giveaways, drink specials, trivia, Christmas karaoke, and more will be offered throughout the pub crawl.
Both of these events will benefit Holiday on Main Street, along with the Middletown Youth Programs, including the Hal Kaplan Middletown Mentor Program, Middletown Recreation Programs and the Middletown Summer Youth Employment Program.
