CSP News: July 4th Statistics Through 7:00 a.m. July 2

A reminder to obey all traffic laws, pay attention to your speed and if you plan to drink, please designate a driver. If you see a suspected drunk driver report it immediately by calling 911, as this is a true emergency.

(July 2, 2023)—The following statistics are reflective of the time period starting at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2023 to 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, July, 2 2023.

Calls for Service: 3,544
Motor Assists: 168
Motor Vehicle Accidents: 242
Serious Injury (Stamford)
Fatal: 1 (Greenwich, North Canaan)
DUI: 25
Speeding: 182 Citations
Citations (seatbelts, unsafe lane change, distracted driving, etc.): 387

The State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad responded to the scene to assist with scene processing. This case remains active and under investigation. Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Trooper Carmen Quispialaya #1407 via e-mail at Carmen.Quispialaya@ct.gov.
