The U.S. Census Bureau is currently conducting a Field Data Collection in preparation for next year’s decennial census. The current operation started at the beginning of August and will run through October 11, 2019. Temporary field staff are working in neighborhoods across the United States, including Killingworth, to update address lists and maps. They are knocking on doors to verify addresses and gather information on additional living quarters.
Field staff members can be identified by the laptop computer with a Census Bureau logo on the top, a black canvas bag with a Census logo, and a photo Identification Card.
