Blue Fire Stage Company is excited to offer our first ever teen cabaret program! Students will participate in workshops and individual coachings which will culminate in a cabaret event, featuring vocal, dramatic and movement/dance performances. This program is open to students entering grades 7-12. Our instructors are talented, engaging and experienced in teaching and performing.
Workshops will teach about many areas of theatrical arts, including stage directions/blocking, theatre games, set design/construction, storytelling, improv techniques, movement, character development, auditioning and more! Students will choose one of three theatrical arts to focus on for our cabaret performance – acting, vocal performance or movement/dance. Each student will receive 4-5 one-on-one coachings with an instructor in their chosen discipline to work on their performance piece for the cabaret.
At the end of the program, all participants are invited to perform for their friends and family, outdoors at HES in our fun and informal Teen Cabaret. This will be on Friday July 23 at 5:30p, with a rain date of Saturday July 24 at 5:30. Performing in the cabaret is encouraged, but not required.
The cost of the five-week/ten session program is $225, with a family discount of $225 for the first child and $200 for each additional child.
Workshops/rehearsals will be held at the former Haddam Elementary School, outdoor as weather permits, or indoor with masking.
All State of CT COVID recommended practices will be enforced.
Registration is required prior to attending. Register at bluefire.corsizio.com
