The Haddam Killingworth High School varsity baseball team was defeated by Portland at Portland on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, with a final score of Portland 3, HK 2. Conner Murray had two hits and Bryan Dinnis pitched five innings striking out seven. HK went ahead 2-0 in the top of the sixth on Jimmy McGoey’s double and an RBI single by Ryan Kellenbach. Portland struck for three runs in the bottom of the sixth using two walks and two hits to win for the sixth time in seven tries. Brenden Hickey got the win in relief.
