Abandoned Rooster Needs a Home

(Nov. 5, 2019) — About four days ago, a rooster suddenly appeared at the end of a long driveway near the Chester/Haddam line early in the morning. The neighbors were consulted but no one has claimed him. The resident who has fed him since then thinks that some “villain” dropped him off. Since he showed up, he seems attracted to cars, but gets up in a little tree to roost at night. The resident has been feeding and caring for him since he showed up, but the resident does not have a coop, so he is at the mercy of the elements and predators. “He wakes up about 6:00 a.m. and crows, which lets me know he’s still alive.”
