(May 1, 2024) — Brainerd Memorial Library’s new Executive Director, Andrew Maloney, will be joining us on May 13, 2024. Andrew brings extensive experience to the position, having served most recently as the Associate Director of the Portland, Maine Library System and before that as a Branch Manager for the Granville County, North Carolina Library System.
Don’t be fooled by the geography, though. Andrew has Connecticut roots, and is a UConn graduate. We’re very pleased to welcome him back home.
Throughout the interview process Andrew emphasized his interest in, and passion for, creating strong relationships within the organization, with patrons, and with community and municipal organizations. Please stop in, introduce yourself, and share your thoughts on what you’d like to see in the library’s future. We’re confident you’ll find a good listener!
