I am asking you to join me in supporting State Senator Christine Cohen in her run for re-election for the Twelfth District. Christine has proven again and again that she is knowledgeable, can and will work across the aisle, and understands the importance of common sense solutions during these stressful times.

I attended the recent 12th District State Senate candidates debate in Guilford run by the League of Women Voters. The depth of Christine’s knowledge on every issue brought up by an audience question was detailed and thorough. She has used her four terms in office well and that serves her constituents well. She worked to increase funding for our schools, expanded access to reproductive care, works on numerous environmental issues, and continues the ongoing effort to cut costs for utility bills and health care.

Senator Cohen is working as collaboratively as possible to address the overriding issue of our time, affordability. It is a problem that most of us deal with every day and is not limited to one party or another. Please vote to re-elect State Senator Cohen on November 3, or through early voting.

Kathleen Amoia, Killingworth
