The Boys soccer team improved their record to 8 & 2 beating Old Lyme for their 5th straight win. The Cougars started fast when Tristen Edwards took a great pass from Luca Piacenti and broke away, scoring the first goal in the 4th minute. HK applied continuous pressure on the Old Lyme defense and picked up a 2nd goal 30 minutes later when Tristen returned the favor, sending in a corner kick that Luca put into the net. The halftime score was 2-0 in favor of HK. The second half was more of the same as we continued to pound the opponent’s goal. In the 69th minute, Tristen made a nice pass to Nolan Sheppard, who made the score 3-0. Another insurance goal was later put in by Strati Dhembi on a great pass from Nolan.
Next game is Monday, October 5th at Hale Ray.
