(September 19, 2026) — Beginning Monday, October 5, 2026, the Connecticut Department of Transportation will add four new weekday trains to the Shore Line East schedule, helping to serve customers and close gaps in the current schedule. The new trains are the result of new funding in the state budget brought about by shoreline area legislators.
Two new weekday eastbound trains will operate from New Haven to New London, departing from New Haven at 2:55 p.m. and 5:55 p.m. respectively, while two new westbound trains will leave New London at 4:40 p.m. and 7:28 p.m., respectively.
