(July 22, 2026) — The Haddam-based non-profit Elbowbumpkid, Inc. has been nominated as a finalist for the 2026 Red Sox Foundation IMPACT Awards, which are focused on organizations making a difference in the diabetes community. Founded in 2019, Elbowbumpkid is a volunteer-powered, community-funded program and the only volunteer nonprofit on the list. We need our community’s support for the Foundation to help us make an impact. Community voting is open until 4:59 p.m. on August 14, 2026 and every daily vote brings us closer to a $15,000 grant that would directly support our programs and resources for families affected by Type 1 Diabetes.
