(June 19, 2026) — This dynamic duo had a rough start in life before they came to Protectors of Animals, but in the short time that they’ve been with the rescue, Teddie (photo below)

and Marty (photo below)

are beginning to come out of their shells and starting to enjoy a life they never knew. Poor little things. It’s heartbreaking.
Teddie is four years old and Marty is six months old. Both weigh around ten pounds. They are male Lhasa Apso Mixes, and are shy but love to be together. Whoever adopts them will just need to be patient, loving, and let them learn how to be fun loving babies. You watch, they will be the best pets ever. I will just take time so they can heal.
The two do enjoy taking long walks and are getting much better with the leash. They like being carried around as well. Why not? Marty has only one eye. It was removed for medical reasons, but that doesn’t stop this little guy.
If you have questions about these two little chippies, you can email their adoption counselor at isabel.giovacchini@gmail.com AND fill out an application at www.poainc.org by copying and pasting that link into your browser. You can also call Protectors of Animals at: (860) 569-0722. Please allow one week to hear back regarding your application.
