(April 18, 2026) — The Haddam-Killingworth High School Boys Lacrosse team pulled off another double-digit win on the season their match-up against Clinton on April 14, 2026. Josh Frith (Senior) won almost every mid-field face-off, giving the Cougars ball control and keeping play on the Clinton end of the field. And when Clinton did bring the ball downfield, the Cougar defense led by Colin Civiello (Sophomore), blocked all but two shots.
In the second quarter, the Clinton defense tried to stop John Moyher (Senior) in a 3 vs. 1 block, in which Moyher still managed to make a diving goal. A common theme early in the season for the Cougars is their play and pass execution, exemplified by moments such as the one during the second quarter. Declan Moriarty (Senior) caught the ball, popped up during the face-off, and made a fast pass to Ethan Pitts (Senior), who passed to Finn O’Hanlon (Senior), who passed to John Moyher to score for the Cougars. It’s a strong start to the season for the HKHS, who are now 3-0.
The next game is scheduled for April 21, 2026 against Valley Regional at home.
