(October 25, 2025) — The Haddam Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary members recently installed officers for the 2025-2026 year. Officers are as follows: Karen Roche, president; Christine Mainetti, vice-president; Barbara Galloway, secretary; and Dorothy Morrell, treasurer.
The Auxiliary was established in 1966 to aid our volunteer firefighters. Members provide refreshments during major fires, and they give funds periodically to the fire department to purchase firefighting items. Through fundraisers, they also support the Haddam Fuel Bank, Project Graduation, and other town services. Haddam residents 18 years of age or older are welcome to join. Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of the month, from September to June, except in January, at 7:00 p.m. at the HVFC Firehouse on Saybrook Road in Higganum.
The Auxiliary’s next fundraiser is the annual Holiday Vendor/Craft Fair on November 2, 2025 from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 p.m. This event will be held at a new location this year, the Haddam Community Center, 7 Candlewood Hill Road, across from the Higganum town green. Members appreciate the support of the townspeople at all of our events.
