By Barth Keck, HKHS Assistant Football Coach
(October 24, 2025) — In a game played on September 19, 2025, Josh Frith broke a scoreless tie in the third quarter with a 24-yard touchdown run, and Tyler Napierkowski followed with a 7-yard scoring run later in the quarter to lead the Haddam-Killingworth High School football team (2-0) to a 14-0 win over the Stafford/East Windsor/Somers Co-Op. The HKHS defense tallied its second consecutive shutout against the Bulldogs (1-1), and also blocked a punt and a field goal attempt.
“Once again, we started slow,” said HKHS Head Coach Tyler Wilcox. “We made too many mistakes and missed too many opportunities in the first half. The kids were able to right the ship in the second half and take control of the game. Our defense was especially stingy against Stafford’s hard-nosed rushing offense.”
