Ryan Thompson is a 21 year old senior at Central Connecticut State University where he has studied and researched topics in Political Science such as campaign messaging, elections, and efficiency in governmental services. He minors in history with a specification in US History. For the past two years, Ryan has served as an alternate on Haddam’s Board of Finance where he has gained a deeper understanding and respect for the processes of the board and the institutions of small town government. He sees this campaign as a chance to bring his passion and energy to the board he has spent the last two years serving. From an early age, Ryan was taught the importance of community. His father, Tommy Thompson, volunteered for a number of local organizations and coached many sports teams. His mother, Shelly Thompson, currently works as a teacher in our school district. Ryan knows what serving his community looks like, and he is ready to pick up the torch. Ryan asks the residents of Haddam to remember to vote on November 4th. It’s the most precious tool we all have. He believes that voting is an occasion, and it is our duty to rise to it.
