(September 27, 2025) — Haddam can lay claim to its own unique piece of American folklore: the mucket, a ferocious fish said to be found in our town’s streams and tributaries, and nowhere else. You may have seen the statue recently installed in Higganum in front of Nutmeg Pharmacy. But have you ever wondered how and when the legend of the mucket got started?
