(September 19, 2025) — Since 1995, Essex Savings Bank has given back to the
communities it serves through its Community Investment Program. The Bank’s Board of Directors meets annually to vote on disbursements to local non-profits that applied for grants through the program.

This year, the Bank upholds its pledge to donate up to 10% of its net after-tax profits to 501(c)(3) organizations. The Directors’ portion of the program includes $63,350 allocated to twenty organizations. President and CEO Diane Arnold is delighted to continue the Bank’s legacy of giving, commenting, “We are so grateful that we have the means to make a difference in the community that we have been a part of for nearly 175 years. Every penny is well spent on these incredible nonprofits.”

The grant recipients are as follows: Bare Necessities, Camp Hazen YMCA, Chester Historical Society, Community Foundation of Middlesex County, Connecticut River Museum, Essex Garden Club, Essex Lions Charities, Essex Winter Series, Estuary Council of Seniors, Goodspeed Opera House, HOPE Partnership, Ivoryton Playhouse, Lyme Land Conservation Trust, Lymes Youth Services Bureau, Middlesex Habitat for Humanity/Connecticut, Middlesex Health, Middlesex United Way, Rotary Club of Essex Foundation, The MacCurdy Salisbury Educational Foundation, and Valley Shore YMCA.

Since the inception of the Community Investment Program, Essex Savings Bank
has donated nearly $6.5 million. For more information on the Community Investment Program, the annual ballot, and Essex Savings Bank, please visit www.essexsavings.com.
